Pharmaceutical

Western Engineering manufacturers a complete range of Mixtec mixers and agitators for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Based on 20 + years of experience they understand the GMP and critical hygiene standards.

Top Entry Mixers and Agitators for manufacturing and blending a wide variety of products in tanks. Typically used in critical hygeine applications with stringent quality control, material traceability and FDA compliant components. Generally used in sealed tanks and fitted with high quality mechanical seals appropriate for the application. Can be operated under vacuum or in nitrogen blanketed vessels.

Side Entry Mixers and Agitators for storage tanks, or silos, providing gentle tank turnover rates to maintain the homogeneity of the product and prevent settling of any solids content. Typically used in storage application or for blending very missible products.

High Speed Dispersers for dispersing powders and rapid dissolving solids, reduces particle size by attrition and blending immiscible products.

Emulsifiers and Emulsifying Pumps provide higher shear than HSD’s. Typical applications include manufacturing creams, blending micronised powders and blending immiscible products.

Anchor or Gate Mixers used for mixing high viscosity products at low speed, they provide good movement at the tank wall giving excellent heat transfer in heating or cooling applications. Typical applications include cosmetic creams manufacturing, toothpaste manufacturing (in conjunction with an emulsifier). Can be operated under vacuum or in nitrogen blanketed vessels.

Ribbon Blenders provide rapid blending of dry powders and granular products. Typical applications include blending of powder products such as milk powder and protein formulas.

Magnetic Drive Mixers provide rapid blending of dry powders and granular products. Typical applications include blending of powder products such as milk powder and protein formulas.

Product Press for assisting the pack out of very high viscosity products by applying pressure to the product to force it through the outlet. Used for very viscous creams, lotions and gels.
